igoogle and downloading from library

Today we had a look at igoogle - a sort of home page for things which interest us. We looked at google maps and I found the place where I lived. I sent the information to my brother and brother in law by email. There is an email option but they do not have gmail accounts, so Anette and I were not sure whether it would work. So I copied and pasted the info to them.

Annette showed us how to search and download books from Yarra Plenty and /or Brisbane libraries. Useful for someone who wants to read on a laptop or PC instead of a book. Annette mentioned using an MPS player - perhaps that was for music downloads? I do not have a use for that at the moment.

You can download audio books or music to an MP3 player. There is a list of compatible players listed on the overdrive site. Overdrive material will soon be compatible with iPods....(maybe you will win one???) -A
